Just arrived is a restored Vintage Fender Duo-Sonic II guitar, manufactured originally in approximately 1966. The previous owner of the guitar originally discovered it in a covered up trailer in a barn next to another guitar. The condition was pretty poor, so the owner took the guitar to owner of Action Sound, Kelly Barber, in Hawkins, Texas to work on it. From observation, the guitar finish has been re-painted and pickups and pearl pickguard appear to be replaced. The serial number plate has also been replaced. The bridge and plate under the volume and tone knob is original but cleaned up, but input jack has been replaced. . The neck and tuners are old Fender tuners, missing a screw. From the holes in the headstock under the bottom tuner, it appears that another set of tuners had been on the head stock. This guitar features one volume and one tone knob, all connected to both pickups, but with no additional switches. The frets are original. Although they show some wear, they are still in good condition and playable. The action is smooth and pretty low. Included is a black Fender case. The tone is very interesting and distinct from anything I have played. You will enjoy having a new unique tone coming from a restored, playable vintage guitar!
